Customer Support Representative / Inside Sales
Daily Duties of a Customer Service/ Inside Sales Rep:
As our sales representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our client’s orders are produced on time, on budget, and to the highest standards. You will have the opportunity to work directly within our Creative Team, as well as cross-functionally with all Advance Teams.
The right person for the Customer Service/Inside Sales position has experience and enjoys providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment while helping customers find the right solution for their projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be the voice to our customers with a professional, upbeat attitude
- Receive customer calls/email correspondence and provide the necessary information related to product selection, order status, and problem resolution
- Coordinates with other departments within the company, as necessary, to assure that we are providing world-class service to our customers
- Stay aligned with our company’s culture and values
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints
- Provide information about the products and services
- Troubleshoot and resolve product issues and concerns
- Document and update customer records based on interactions
- Develop and maintain a knowledge base of the evolving products and services
- Acts as liaison between customer, sales, and production facilities
- Continuously seek to improve the efficiency of the department, making adjustments, and assigning resources as needed. Make recommendations to change processes to improve efficiencies
- Oversees the production process from point of sale until final delivery of customer’s product
- Develop and execute on strategic customer plans, build contract provisions, and develop sales forecasts
- Generates change orders to ensure that corrections are made and additional charges are billed
- Communicates the status of each project with customers and Outside Sales Representative
- Performs proofing functions and interacts with the customer to obtain approvals
- Closely monitors each project through the facility, ensuring that each one meets its scheduled deadline
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required
- At least three years in Signage or printing industry with excellent customer service experience
- Experience resolving customer satisfaction issues
- Proficient computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Office suite
- Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills

Sign Painter
We are looking for an experienced sign painter to join our team of experts.
At Front Signs, we work with Matthews painting system, thus the painter should be able to handle the equipment and provide equally painted signs.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain Matthews painting equipment.
- Paint signage materials, such as wood, plastic, metal and more.
- Maintain a clean working area.
- Prepare and maintain equipment for spray painting.
- Prepare materials for painting, by sanding, blasting, scrubbing manually with hand tools or with power tools.
Qualifications
- Experience in working with Matthews painting system.
- Ability to properly prepare surfaces and apply paints and clear finishes.
- Ability to match the existing paint colors.
- Knowledge of equipment, products, procedures and methods required for finishing and refinishing of wood, metal and plastic surfaces within a spray booth environment.
- Working knowledge of standard safe work practices.
Sign Maker/Installer
Outside Sales Representative
Front Signs is currently seeking a salary base with commission Outside Sales Representative. This position will be responsible for providing exemplary customer satisfaction, the establishment of leads, closing sales, guiding clients to a solution that is unique and creative using a consultative approach, and responding to each customer’s specialized needs. You will also assist the entire sales team in continuing to increase sales and develop existing customers through strong relationships. You will be selling our company’s sign installation, fabrication and maintenance services in and around Los Angeles. Training will be provided to you. Your territory is open to areas within 100 miles of Greater Los Angeles. Our ideal candidate is outgoing, focused and highly motivated.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Selling custom sign services/products
- Developing a monthly sales goal and quota
- Assist in creating an accurate record of all sales and prospecting activities
- Meeting with management team often to discuss goals and progress
- Visit offices, restaurants, industrial parks and retail businesses
- Generate new leads and follow up with all leads
- Create and build relationships with customers
- Ask consultative questions to gather detailed information on customer needs
- Maintain a consistent and organized follow up system
- Remarket areas every few months
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor that reflects our commitment to quality, continuous improvement and respect for individuals
- Helps prepare status reports for weekly sales meetings, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals

- Aid in the scheduling of fabrication and installation
- Serve as the primary contact for customers and outside vendors to ensure projects are produced within clients time and budget constraints
- Responsible for day-to-day job intake, work order creation, data entry, record keeping, Estimating, and providing high-level customer service
- Track and enter costs associated with each job estimate to facilitate accurate department billing
- Complete all required volume quality control tracking logs
- Receive all questions and concerns and provide updates and solutions to customers
- Send and obtain proof approvals
- Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, and documents
Must-Have Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Attention to detail and willingness to follow checklists and instructions to see projects through completion in keeping up with timelines and deadlines
- Demonstrate proficiency in basic math and spelling
- Possess a good understanding of sales and marketing tactics
- Have excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must have valid driver’s license and own reliable transportation

Front Signs needs an experienced part-time sign maker to join our team of experts.
The Sign Maker will perform a wide range of duties related to the physical production of signs.
This position is for all aspects of the physical production of signs. The ideal candidate has previous print or sign production experience and the physical ability to perform this job. The candidate will need to have prior fabrication experience in terms of working with metal, wood, plastic and other materials commonly utilized in sign making.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- All aspects of physical sign fabrication including sign assembly by combining a variety of materials such as acrylics, metals, wood and vinyl (light boxes, channel letters, wooden signs, etc.).
- Weld steel and aluminum.
- Prime, mask and paint surfaces, utilizing all types of painting materials (Matthews).
- Vinyl application to metal and plastics.
- Work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Be able to efficiently manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- The candidate must have 3+ years of experience in a sign fabrication environment.
- Experience in work with hands and a good understating of measuring and cutting material to exact job specifications.
- High level of detail orientation.
- Ability to fully fabricate signs from A to Z.
- Ability to work with many different print and signage materials and substrates.

Wide Format Printing Specialist (2nd shift)
This role will be working on state of the art equipment (Flatbed and large format printing machine) to produce Large format products.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Setting Up Print Jobs
- Running Machines to Set Targets
- Checking print quality
- Work with Laminating machine
- Record Accurate Timings
- Stock Control
QUALIFICATIONS
- knowledge and 2+ years experience in large/wide format machinery
- background in the print industry
- an ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision, under pressure and to deadlines
- strong attention to detail and a high focus on delivering quality is essential.

CNC and Laser Machinist (2nd shift)
The CNC and laser machinist will operate various routing and engraving machines to cut sign components according to layouts.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Interpret scaled drawings and artwork to produce routed products
Utilize CNC software to convert vector artwork into sign specific cut files
Verify materials against work orders by sight and/or measurement
Track completed jobs through work area and stage material for corresponding jobs
Operate loading and unloading equipment (fork truck, pallet jack, hand, etc.) and basic hand and power tools in a safe and responsible manner
Remove chip materials from shop area to scrap bins as needed
Work cooperatively with other departments to ensure efficient production and meet deadlines
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, blueprints and work orders.
Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed
Operation and routine maintenance of equipment
Keep general work area clean and organized, including cleaning and restocking
Other duties as assigned.
